The Greatest Thing in the World

Dear friend,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
The world has it’s own way of defining greatness. Bill Gates is considered great because of his genius and wealth. Barak Obama is called a great man because of his worldwide popularity. David Beckham is praised for his great athletic ability. The Beatles were considered great because of their innovative music. Nelson Mandela is remembered for his historic role in the end of apartheid. But, what about you?
While we can admire the God-given ability and accomplishments of the people listed above, there is something you can do that is much greater than the things that brought them fame. If you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you have made the most important decision in the world. You have done the greatest thing any human creature can do. There is nothing more significant in this life than having a personal relationship with God in heaven! Accomplishing awesome things in the eyes of millions around the world will be of little use if you do not have eternal life in Christ.
Friend, have you done something great?
“Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater…yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he” (from Mt. 10:11).
Your servant,
Stephen
