Is Jesus Your Lord?

Dear friend,
Is Jesus your Lord?
The Greek word which is most often translated “Lord” in our New Testament means “master.” So let me ask the question again. Is Jesus your Master? If he is, then you must be ready to do whatever He tells you to do. And you must be ready to go wherever He tells you to go. And you must believe Him.
Like Abraham, who obeyed God and left his country and his kindred and his father’s house to go to a place he had never been (Gen. 12:1). Or like Moses, who gave up the opportunity to live in worldly comfort and chose instead to be mistreated along with God’s people. “He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt” (Hebrews 11:26). Or like Jarius, who faced the heartbreak of a lost child and accepted the Lord’s comforting instruction, “Do not fear, only believe” (Mark 5:36).
Are you believing and obeying the voice of Jesus? Is He greater to you than treasure? Is He your Lord? Your Master?
Your servant,
Stephen
