Merry Christmas! Our worship service will be shortened today. The service on New Year ‘s Day will begin at the regular time of 10.30am. No Sunday school on New Year’s Day.

A special class for women of all ages will begin on January 8th at 9:15 AM and will be taught by Jan Harkless and Joan Edwards. They will use the study guide Behold Your God, teaching God’s attributes. Some advanced study will be needed each week after the first class.

Continue to pray for the Re-location Committee, led by Kenneth Oh, as they are working to determine the best option for us to meet for Worship starting in August 2012.

In order to plan for midweek Bible Studies that everyone attending JIBC can attend reasonably close to home, we would like each family to mark a dot on the Jakarta map where your house is located. The data will be used to determine the best location for the studies.

Announcements for Sunday, December 4, 2011

Ministry Council Meeting. Please be in prayer for our elders, deacons and ministry directors as we meet in the DS Function Room on Monday, December 5 at 7pm. We will report on our ministries and discuss our GPS for 2012. Members are welcome to attend this meeting.

Church Business Meeting. Please be reminded that we will hold a business meeting for members immediately after the worship service on Sunday, December 11. We will be voting on the elders’ recommended changes to church membership as well as on our 2012 church budget.

Accountant Recruitment. JIBC is searching for an accountant. Must have a minimun of 5 years cash management and book keeping experiences. Fluency in English is a big plus. For more infromation, please contact John Suwardi.

Saturday Night Youth.  This Saturday night, all teens are invited to the Function Room here at Darmawangsa Square from 5:30-7:30.  Come for some food, fun and a chance to hang out with other cool JIBC teens.

Come prepared to give to the Street Kids Ministry next Sunday. We will be collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations.

Join a Men’s Accountability Group lunch! This is a group of three or four men who meet to pray for and encourage one another every other week. Conversation is confidential and the goal is to be supportive as we try to honor Christ in every area of life. E-mail: elders@thejibc.org for more information.

The Reformed Baptist Institute will be offering a new course “How to Understand the Bible”, starting on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. New students may apply through the church website and returning students may enroll by emailing rbi@thejibc.org. The cost for the course is $100 - to cover the cost for books and general administration.

Attention Men! Join us at the BOX for our Men’s Fraternity Lunch this Wednesday at 12 Noon. We meet in the Chatterbox, 5th Floor, Sogo, Plaza Senayan.

Please continue in prayer for our elders, deacons, and men nominated for deacon. These men will gather for a special “Leadership Summit” on September 17. At the meeting the will lay the foundation for planning future ministry activity at JIBC.

Please be in prayer for the JIBC Elders, Deacons, and others nominated for church office when they get together on September 17 for a Leadership Summit. This will be an important day of training, prayer, and planning for future ministry. If you have any questions about this event, then please email pastorstephen@thejibc.org

Caring for the Heart Ministries and Jakarta International Christian Fellowship are sponsoring a marriage seminar that will help married couples and singles preparing for marriage to identify and resolve spiritual and emotional issues that negatively affect marriages. If you are interested in attending the evening session on September 12-15, please pick up a brochure from the back table.

There is no Men’s Fraternity this week! We will met again on Wednesday September 7.
