Interested to serve in one of the Ministries at JIBC? Please approach one of our Elders, Deacons or Servants and let them know the JIBC ministry you would like to be involved in. We need Praise Team singer servants, Usher and Greeter Servants, Kids club teacher assistants, Children’s Church assistants and audiovisual technicians.

Men’s Fraternity this week is the Lunchtime Edition, 12 noon at the Outback in Ratu Plaza. The topic is: Marriage. All wives will want their husbands to attend.
There will be no Friday Youth Fellowship this weekend because of the planned JIBC Servant’s retreat.
The Reformed Baptist Institute course Systematic Theology II meets on Tuesday at 7 PM in the JIBC Function Room. If you are not an enrolled student you may audit two classes for free. Come and see what it is all about. This Tuesday’s topics are: Sanctification and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Have a Prayer Request? Please fill out a prayer request slip and drop it in the offering bag during the collection of the offering.
Food Gathering Next week for Street Children’s Ministry and the Ministry of our sister Indonesian Language congregation. Please come with non-perishable food items or cash donations.

“One Purpose: Glorifying God”
All servants are invited to the “One Purpose : Glorifying God” Retreat on Friday, 26 February to Saturday 27 February at The Aryaduta Hotel and Country Club Lippo Karawaci. The Speaker is Pastor Stephen St. John, Pastor/Elder JIBC. Fee is Rp. 250,000 per person. Open to 13 years old and above. February 14 is the last day of Payment. Application forms are available at the Welcome table or download and print it from this link: Retreat Application Form . Please fill out and submit an application form along with your payment at the Welcome Table before or after the Worship Service. Frequently Asked Questions:
What is included in the Rp 250,000 Fee per participant?
The Rp. 250,000 Retreat fee entitles the participant to 3 sessions, 4 meals ( i.e. 2 lunches, 1 dinner and 1 breakfast), 1 night twin sharing accommodation and free parking onsite. The sessions will be held in a fully air conditioned function room.
Can I book a room all to myself?
If you want a room all to yourself, the price is Rp. 500,000 instead of the usual Rp. 250,000.
How about Transportation?
Transportation will be handled by the Participant. A map will be provided upon payment of the Retreat fee. The location is 30 to 45 minutes away from Jakarta. Please refer to the vicinity map below.
Can I bring my kids?
Kids 13 years old and above are welcome. However, please take note that there won’t be any separate program for the kids. Retreat fee per kid is also Rp. 250,000.
Are there scholarships?
Yes we offer scholarships to those who would like to join the retreat but needs financial assistance. Please fill an application form and submit it at the Welcome Table. In the application form, remember to write “Scholarship” above your name. The “One Purpose” Retreat team will review your application and will let you know if you qualify for a scholarship.
What do I need to pack?
Pack for an overnight stay. Please remember to bring your Bible, a notebook, pen, swimwear, medication (if you’re taking any), camera and sports gear (if you plan to play sports).
What are the Hotel facilities available to the Participants?
Facilities available include: Fitness Center, Whirlpool, Steam Room & Sauna, Jogging Track, Swimming Pools, Outdoor/Indoor Tennis Courts, Badminton Courts, Squash Courts, Indoor/ Outdoor Basket Ball Courts, Table Tennis Facilities, Billiard Table, Soccer Field and Wall Climbing Facilities.
Where is the nearest emergency hospital?
The nearest hospital is Siloam Hospital. It is approximately 300 meters from the hotel. A car and driver are on standby onsite in case of an emergency.
When is the last day of joining the retreat?
February 14 is the last day of payment. Please fill and submit your application form (Retreat Application Form) along with your payment at the Welcome Table.

All men are invited to our Men’s Fraternity Meeting this Wednesday at 7 PM! This is the “Evening Edition” of our Bible Study for 2010: The Disciplines of a Godly Man. We will meet in the JIBC Office Conference Room.
There will be a Church Ministry Council Meeting tomorrow evening at 7 PM in the JIBC Function Hall. Please pray for our elders, deacons, and other ministry leaders as they meet.
Ladies’ Bible Study Ladies ages 14 and older are invited to join us on Wednesday, February 10, 7:00 PM. “Lives of Integrity.” The study will continue on February 17, 24 and March 3. We will meet at Julie Spake’s home. Please sign up at the welcome table or by SMS to Jill Sharp, and please collect a map to the Spake’s home from the welcome table. We welcome Rev. John Ronny Serworwora as our guest preacher this morning. He is the President of the Jakarta Baptist Theological Seminary, a graduate of Mid-America Baptist Seminary, and lives in Jakarta with his wife, Lena and three children.
It’s time brothers! The 2010 Men’s Fraternity is ready to start this Wednesday with the Lunchtime Edition. This Fraternity meeting is held in the Outback Steakhouse at Ratu Plaza. See you there at 12 Noon. Books for the study (Disciplines of a Godly Man) are still on sale at the Welcome Table for a cost of Rp. 225.000,-. Sunday School Join us each Sunday for Sunday School. There are classes for all ages starting at 9:15. Please come for fun, friends, and leaning from the Word of God. Come on time and be sure to bring your Bibles!
