YFC Street Kids Event, June 17

“All the families of the nations shall worship before you.”
On June 17, Youth For Christ hosted a street kids event at Gelanggang Remaja Belanet Senen. Several hundred kids came to listen to songs, puppet shows and play games that preached the message of the love of Christ for all nations. JIBC Youth Group attended to play with the kids and help distribute lunches.

Water Boom Excursion!

On April 18, the JIBC Youth Group along with several parents and young adults took a day trip to Water Boom, Lippo-Cikarang. Beautiful weather, outbound ropes course, refreshing water park and a bit of beach volley ball filled the day. Whether you wanted to climb, swim, or sit in the shade, it was a relaxing and enjoyable time of fellowship!

March 22 was Youth Sunday, and the young people of JIBC served as ushers, greeters, and the praise team. Their worship was a blessing to the congregation and melody to the Lord–thank you, kids!

The JIBC Ushers and Greeters Ministry Schedule 2009

There are five Ushers and Greeters teams- the Faithfulness team, the Joy Team, the Love team, the Goodness Team and the Gentleness team.
The Faithfulness team serves every 1st Sunday of the Month and the 5th Sunday of March 2009. The Joy team serves every 2nd Sunday of the Month and the 5th Sunday of May 2009, the Love team serves every 3rd Sunday of the Month and the 5th Sunday of August 2009. The Goodness team serves every 4th Sunday of the Month and the 5th Sunday of November 2009.
On months with five Sundays like March, May, August, and November 2009, the Gentleness team serves on the 4th Sunday with the Goodness Team.
With the above schedule, the Faithfulness team, the Joy team, the Love team and the Goodness team servants will be serving 13 Sundays a year. The Gentleness team will be serving 4 Sundays a year.
Children’s Church assistants help the Children’s Church teacher every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month.

Youth for Christ Service Project

“Jesus called them to him, saying, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Luke 18:16
On Saturday, February 21, nine members of the JIBC youth group and nine adults from JIBC attended a street kids program hosted by Youth for Christ. The event was organized to provide the street kids with a meal and an afternoon of songs and games that glorified Christ. The JIBC youth helped with music and general crowd control.
